Is Raman spectrum used for qualitative or quantitative testing?

Launch:2019-08-14     browse:1565752900times

Raman spectra are usually qualitative and can be used quantitatively under certain conditions.

Qualitative analysis: different substances have different characteristic spectra, so qualitative analysis can be carried out by spectra.

Quantitative analysis: according to the characteristics of the absorbance of the material to the spectrum, can be a very good analysis of the quantity of the material.

The actual Raman spectrum is often very complicated, and it is relatively complicated to determine the unknown objects by spectral peak attribution, while the unknown objects can be quickly identified by searching the matching results through Raman spectrum database. Other conditions being unchanged, the intensity of spectrum is proportional to the sample concentration. After determining the relationship between peak strength and concentration (standard curve) from standard concentration samples, concentration analysis can be performed. For mixtures, relative peak strength can provide information about relative concentrations of various components, while absolute peak strength can reflect absolute concentration information (refer to standard concentration correction).
