摘要：意大利罗马世界物质文化遗产保护组织使用如海光电便携式拉曼光谱仪785nm检测Morte di Santa Orsola 。测得的拉曼图谱与数据库rruff及文献对比，可鉴别破损及褪色部分的颜料，维持原画作的艺术效果。
古画是珍贵的文物，具备优质的艺术欣赏价值与科学研究价值。因环境因素、人为因素的影响，经常会出现污损、虫蛀及发霉等情况，必须对古画进行修复处理。古画修复中会面临不能取样，或由于尺寸、脆性和安全性等问题无法移动。如海光电和Youth in Conservation of Cultural Heritage - YOCOCU APS合作，选用便携式拉曼光谱仪Oceanhood’s portable 785 nm Raman Spectrometer RK785-II instrument用于十八世纪下半叶Morte di Santa Orsola古画修复研究。
颜料是古画美感呈现的重要载体，在古画修复中全色属于主要环节之一，在破损或者褪色的部位填涂颜色相同的颜料，以维持原画作的艺术效果。实验表明，基于多光谱技术对古画进行修复，不仅可以在保证不修改古画的本来风貌的基础上还原载体和各颜料的颜色，而且不依赖于人的主观意向，因此这种方法更为精确。
拉曼光谱证实了通过XRF分析获得的结果。艺术家调色板主要是由赭石组成的。使用朱砂作为红色，是通过拉曼光谱中存在253、282和343 cm⁻¹的特征峰验证的；通过224和404cm⁻¹证实混合的有红赭石。
